MHA #5 - Sunday Morning

Yesterday had been a complete disaster for Princess Jessica! When she had awoke her bedchambers had been a complete mess and someone had stolen all her clothers leaving behind vile rags that no princess would dream of wearing out in public. Plus the only thing to drink in the house were strange bottles of liquor that burned her throat when she sipped from it.

It was enough to drive a princess to tears. However her tears had gotten the attention of some well-meaning woodland creatures. Who could sew.

Just roll with it. Okay?

It had taken most of the evening but when Jessica had awoke she had found that most of vile rags had been transformed from raggedy black t-shirts to a magnificent gown. Complete with a tiara. Jessica was so pleased she instantly put on her gown and went to the balcony...

Did her apartment have a balcony?

Well. It did this weekend.

Nevertheless she went to the balcony and began to sing to the woodland creatures who had served her so well to show her gratitude.

Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!Ah!

And the birds in turn sang back to her.

Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!Cheep!

And now there was a delightful soundtrack to back up the singing! Oh what a time to be alive!

[Open for extreme SP or just people being annoyed.]

The ball had been a surprisingly disappointing bust, which was terribly disappointing, considering how many lovely elligible maidens had been there. Ignis was almost worried he would have to return to his kingdom in utter shame for having failed to find his prince's One True Love on this island...but he supposed there were other islands after this one, or perhaps even investigating the maiden of their own kingdom.

But maidens singing from balconies was a promising turn of events!

"Good morning, fair lady!" he called up at what seemed like an opprotune break in her song, one hand cupped to his mouth while the other balanced a glass shoe on a pillow. "Might I have a moment of your time?"

"I agree," Ignis called back up, almost as if a small, undeniable part of his usual self just had to step in for a moment of ireffutably commentary, "that sounds like something that would be quite unsuitable for nearly anyone to consume! But I am afraid I have none of those things, not really. What I have is this shoe," he held up the shoe on the pillow in case she hadn't noticed it, as if it might be something quite commonplace for anyone to be bringing around, "and I am looking for the fair maiden whose foot might fit in, on behalf of His Royal Highness, Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum, of the Kingdom of Lucis, who is seeking for its own in hopes to make her his bride."

The fact that so few people seemed to recognize the name of His Royal Highness, Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum, of the Kingdom of Lucis, was a little unsettling to Ignis, if he was completely honest, but, on the other hand, His Royal Highness, Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum, of the Kingdom of Lucis did not know the name of the maiden he'd sent Ignis to find, either, so he supposed it was almost to be expected, by the logic.

"I would be greatly appreciative, my lady," Ignis folded his free hand against his chest to bow, "and greatly honored, if you would be so kind."
